Pachamama

Family plots

Sixteen square metres of living legacy.

A plot at Pachamama is not a grave site. It is a private piece of a growing memorial forest that belongs to your family's story.

Private and exclusive

Each four-by-four-metre plot is reserved for one family, marked discreetly and located among the trees — never in rows, never numbered like a car park.

Room for the whole family

A plot welcomes the ashes of further family members over time, each with their own ceremony. Generations can return to the same ground.

Ten to fifteen indigenous trees

Planted at the ceremony and tended as they establish. Over the years the plot closes its canopy and becomes true forest.

A digital memorial

Every plot carries a discreet marker. Visitors find the exact place by phone and open a living memorial page for the people returned there.

Tended in perpetuity

A dedicated care trust maintains the forest — watering, replacing, protecting — for generations. The forest's care does not depend on anyone's memory.

Part of something larger

Your plot sits inside a genuine reforestation project. Choosing Pachamama plants real forest on the edge of the Knysna forest — not a lawn with plaques.

Plots are arranged through Ever After, our sister funeral brand — one gentle conversation covers the ceremony, the plot and everything in between.

See it for yourself

This is what your family holds.

Words don't quite carry it, so here is a living memorial page itself — the one a visitor opens when they scan the marker at a plot.

This is a demonstration; the Van der Merwes are a fictional family. Scroll it, read the tributes, even leave one of your own — you'll see how everything a visitor offers goes to the family first.

Every forest starts with a conversation.

Whether it's an immediate need, planning ahead, or simply a wish to walk the forest first — everything is arranged through Ever After, our sister funeral brand. One gentle conversation covers the visit, the ceremony, the plot and everything in between.
